Mother's Day Weekend
Daddy and Samuel took Mommy for a dinner at Friday’s on Saturday. We were under the impression that Friday’s does not serve free kids meal anymore but last Saturday we were informed that kid’s munchies came free with an adult meal.
We ordered the Grilled Cheese for Samuel, Daddy had the Chicken Mushroom Burger and Mommy had the Baby Back Ribs Set.
The service rendered that day was below par, we had to repeatedly remind the servers to bring our cutleries. Could you believe it? They served our food with no fork but only a table knife : O.
It was a bit chaotic in the beginning but we settled down after awhile and funny that only then the server came to check if everything was alrite with us.
The food served was below par too. The chicken was too hard and the ribs were dried. Samuel’s food was probably the best among us.
Perhaps it was the Saturday night crowd, we did not complain. We don’t actually complain much on bad food, we are not picky eaters; we either eat or we don’t :p
Samuel sat through until his tummy was full and that was about when our dessert was served. Mommy and Daddy took turns to walk our Boy then. His favorite spot in Fridays is the spot under the mock-aeroplanes. He just loves it standing there and point to them while screaming his lung out; "ae-ro-plane! "
Luckily Friday’s is a place of noise. So we did not feel awkward though we had to walk round and round with our Boy making quite some scenes there.
On Sunday, we had lunch with Samuel’s Grandparents at Manila Place together with his Aunties and Grand Aunties.
It was the Mother’s Day, so yeah, the crowd was big. The food was OK except for the garlic bread. We almost felt like we were training for the “rock-chewing contest” while eating those breads :p
Mommy shared the Spaghetti Carbonara with Samuel. There were some Head-Shaking and Don’t-Want chanting moments as usual but Samuel ate his lunch alrite. He enjoyed the company, especially the after-lunch walk around G-Hotel.
We continued the afternoon with some light shopping and this was when were *conned into going to the lower-ground floor to catch a glimpse of Ultraman. We were never a fan but thought it would be cool to see the legend himself.
We must have missed the schedule or something; there were some toys on sale but nay… no Ultraman in-sight.
We were not totally disappointed though, Daddy and Samuel got Mommy this : )
